Graduate Community Events

Community events are designed to foster and deepen relationships outside of the classroom, lab, or bar. Ranging from sushi-making workshops to shows at the Revival and Promontory to escape rooms to film screenings, there's something for everyone! GC hosts numerous events throughout the month (check out the events calendar!) and students can submit their own small events for sponsorship as well! Sign up today for one of our events today or get involved!

The uchicago community experience

Founded in 1890, the University of Chicago has been a pinnacle of academic and research excellence for centuries. What isn't often realized is that the student community is also one of the most vibrant. The university attracts and admits a unique type of collaborative student - it's not surprising to find geneticists, philosophers, and policy students around a table inquiring about each other's work and delving into the common themes across their disciplines.

Our community committee also sponsors Community Meetups in the Hyde Park and Chicago Community.

If you have an idea for a volunteer opportunity, show you want to go to, or another idea open to the broader graduate community, submit it via the event calendar and we can promote and support.
