Graduate Life Initiatives
Our graduate life initiatives have greatly expanded over the past year. Social events like Party in the Sky have seen unprecedented interest. We have been able to interact more directly with the Board of Trustees to engage them about graduate issues. And, as a result of those board meetings, we developed the Community Initiative to combat isolationism and promote meaningful interactions among graduate students. Learn more about our efforts here, join us for our events, and get involved.
Our social events attract hundreds of graduate students from all divisions to have a great time with old friends, and possibly find new ones. Find out more, or get involved to help make events like Party in the Sky a success.
The Student Perspectives Series (SPS) is an initiative that began in the 2016-17 academic year. Through this program the Liaison to the Board of Trustees works with a small team to solicit feedback on issues facing the graduate community.
The purpose of this program is to recognize dedicated student leaders on campus that work to better graduate student life on campus. This year 12 awardees were selected to each receive a $345 award.
